The XIth Technology Awards Ceremony Held

In the contest held by the alliance of TUBITAK, TTGV (Technology Development Foundation of Turkey) and TUSIAD in an aim to drive Turkey as a technology developing country and promote innovative products, 198 projects were nominated. This year’s instance saw the highest number of projects ever nominated. Of 150 nominees, 29 were qualified to the final.

In a ceremony held on May 21, 2014 with the attendance of Prof. Dr. Yücel Altınbaşak - the Head of TUBITAK, Mr. Cengiz Ultav - the Chairman of TTGV, and Mr. Muharrem Yılmaz, the Chairman of TUSIAD, awards were delivered to winners.

Of 29 nominee projects qualified to the final, Greenway Güneş Sistemleri Enerji Üretim Sanayi Tic. A.Ş. was honoured with the High-Scale Company Process Category Award for its Concentrated Solar Energy Tower System.

About the Technology Awards Event: Laid in 1997, the Technology Awards Event is being held since 1998. The event, organized in an aim to drive Turkey as a technology developing country and promote innovative products, is led by the TTGV, TUBITAK and TUSIAD alliance. 674 projects were preliminarily nominated for the Technology Awards Event, held for 10 times so far since 1997. Of them, 452 were accepted for jury review. The Technology Awards Event seeing its 11th Edition this year was held on May 21, 2014.
